Dead air is the one failure the audience notices

Broadcast traffic is unforgiving in a way most enterprise traffic is not. It is sustained, it is symmetrical when you are contributing, and it fails publicly — usually at exactly the moment the audience is largest and the advertiser is watching.

Committed capacity, not best effort

A contribution feed does not care what your peak speed is. It cares whether the capacity is there for the whole duration, every time — which is a different product from the one most providers sell, and it is priced differently for a reason.

The three paths

Contribution, distribution and the backup for both

Most broadcasters buy one of these and discover the other two during an incident.

01

Contribution — getting it back to base

Live material from a stadium, a conference hall, a field location or a regional studio has to return to the origin point with enough headroom that encoding does not become the story. Satellite reaches locations fibre does not, and our teleport is in the same country as the studio.

Satellite communications →
  • Occasional-use and committed satellite capacity
  • Uplink from locations with no terrestrial path
  • Sized for sustained upstream, not headline download
02

Distribution — getting it out

Once the signal is at origin it has to reach transmitters, platforms and audiences. On fibre that means committed capacity on protected rings; for the parts of the country fibre has not reached, it means satellite carrying the same feed.

Enterprise connectivity →
  • Committed capacity rather than contended broadband
  • Protected metro and backbone paths
  • Satellite distribution beyond the fibre footprint
03

Origin, cache and archive

Holding content in Mogadishu rather than on another continent stops the same file crossing an ocean once per viewer. It also means your archive is somewhere you can physically reach, which matters more than it sounds like it should.

Colocation & cloud →
  • In-country origin and caching
  • Archive storage with real power and cooling
  • Cross-connect to four submarine systems

Tell us the schedule you have to hit

Give us the locations, the hours, the bitrate and what happens if the feed drops. We will come back with the contribution path, the distribution path and the one that covers you when the first fails.
